The Universe is waiting and watching

Posted on: Wednesday, April 25th, 2007 Categories: Law of Attraction

Today is the first day I did not post a story to the website. I am writing this on Tuesday evening with the intent to post it on the site tomorrow morning, Wednesday. Caitlin, my daughter, and I went to the Royals baseball game Monday night and got back home very late. Work was very challenging – lots of meetings and emails occupied most of my time and attention. These are not excuses, just my reality for today. It is important for me to be fully aware of my reality in order to continue to attract the things I want in my life and the things that bring me happiness.

The Royals lost to the White Sox on Monday, but Caitlin and I were content to have the rare opportunity to hang out together for a few hours. To be honest, I am not sure if Caitlin was even mindful, or excited, about having this time together, but she did seem to have a good time.

The last couple of weeks have been challenging for Caitlin and me. First, she has had a very bad cold and has felt miserable. She is not the best patient in the world and her impatience with not feeling well is very evident, and loud!

On the way to the ball game, I broached the subject that she and I have been at odds lately and I would like to remove the conflict we both feel and improve our communication. She quickly agreed and promised to do her part to get our relationship back on track. The rest of the evening was great; except the Royals’ bullpen blowing another game.

However, the blown save did not matter. What mattered was taking the time-out with Caitlin. Living the Law of Attraction does not mean we can only use it when aspiring for great things, it’s the ordinary, day-to-day events, and how we respond to these events, that truly define who we are, the character we possess, and how we tell the Universe what we want; what we really want. On days like these, the Universe is waiting and watching.

So, no post for Tuesday. My reality for this day was to tell the Universe what I really wanted – an improved relationship with my daughter. I could tell when I got home from work this evening that I am getting what I asked for.
