Change your feeling

Posted on: Monday, April 23rd, 2007 Categories: Law of Attraction

I hope after reading yesterday’s post you are now motivated and excited about moving forward to claim who you are, and how you are determined to live a life of abundance and happiness. Remember, to begin you must want it, not hope for it or wish for it, but truly want it. The irony is for some of us the wanting may cause frustration and anxiety because we have no idea how to get it; therefore, we think we need to be doing something to get it.

The key for now is to change your feelings. Tune into your feelings throughout the day. If you are feeling discouraged, unworthy or just down, you are probably in a “not having” place instead of a “having” place. The goal is to get our thoughts off what we don’t want and on to what we do want.

Red light, green light game

A good way to practice changing your feelings is to play the red light, green light game when driving. Have you ever noticed that some days you seem to catch all of the red lights? Chances are you’re in a “not having” place. Focus on your feelings and begin focusing on how good it will feel to get all green lights. Believe you deserve green lights. Believe you are worthy to have green lights. When approaching an intersection, stay in that feeling place and how good it’s going to feel when the light remains green.

Soon, once learned, this little exercise will begin to mirror the rest of your life. When faced with conflict or disappointment, begin to think how good it’s going to feel when the obstacle is removed.

The point today is to focus on changing your feelings when you catch yourself in a “not having” place. Don’t allow frustration or impatience to get in your way. There’s an old saying “you can’t eat an elephant in one bite,” is especially true here. You may not be able to change all of your feelings all at once, but by beginning with the traffic lights in your life is a great start – at least you are on the road, moving forward, and there’s a lot of value in that.
